Trevor A Saylor is a photographer based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, who specializes in street and documentary photography. An avid and experienced traveler, he photographs locations all over the world, recording the world and its idiosyncrasies as they play out in front of his lens. He is drawn to documenting the human experience, in particular the interaction between people and their environments across a variety of settings. Rather than a strong reliance on visual puns or shock, as much contemporary street photography does, Trevor's work draws inspiration from classic documentary photographers such as Lee Friedlander, Joel Meyerowitz, Don McCullin, Martin Parr, and others.
Working with a candid, playful eye that at times disguises the emotional depth of his work, Trevor shoots using a variety of approaches and subjects. Thoughtful, expressive, and exquisitely composed, his work aims to capture the emotion of everyday life and convey it to his viewers through his photographs.
